It takes something special to bring all of us together in the kitchen like this! Just wait til you see what it was.
Yes, it’s tuna, but it’s not just any tuna! A friend of my human and her boyfriend is a deep sea fisher, and he caught it himself! The actual fish was 140 lbs. And he gave the humans some very generous, super-fresh slabs! Talk about sushi grade… and that’s exactly what my human’s boyfriend made with some of it.
As you can imagine, the action in the kitchen drew a crowd. An impatient crowd.
It was a bit of a learning curve for my human’s boyfriend. There’s a trick to making sushi rice stick together. It was still a bit crumbly when the humans ate it, but it was amazing anyhow. My human says it was the best sushi she’s ever had!
Of course we got lots of tastes! And without the rice or wasabi — who needed those anyway? So yes, this really was free sushi… well, except for the rice part.
