The Do’s and Dont’s of Hosting a Christmas Party

The month of joy has arrived and Christmas will arrive within no time. The jungle bells and Christmas carols are accompanied by a lot of fun, excitement and parties. Like every year, you will be getting a lot of party invitation. However, if you are planning to host a party, then, the fun will be followed by a lot of responsibilities. Listed below are some of the things that you need to do and certain precautions that you need to take care of. Check them out and make sure that you throw a perfect party, this year.

Do’s

  • Start preparing before it’s too late. If you are in a habit of doing everything at the last hour, then, you need to watch out this time. You might not get the bookings after some time. So, start the basic preparation as soon as possible.
  • Make a list of the things you need to do and the guest you are planning to invite. Making a check list of the various thing is the best way to keep everything under your control. Start sending invitations to your guest at least two weeks prior to the day. This will help them prepare their schedule accordingly.
  • Decide the dress code and theme of the party. Keep the dress code fun and happening. Choose something like the fairyland theme, Santa theme or anything that is unique. The cat theme will be equally trendy, fun and appealing to the feline admirers. Guests dressed in cat apparel will make the memorable for you. This dress code will even easy for the guests to arrange. The cat themed t-shirt paired with denim or even a cat sweater will complete the look and the party theme.
  • Be a responsible host. Take care of your guest and plan activities for them. Involve everyone in the fun of the day. Stay on your toes with a gentle smile.

Don’ts

  • Don’t get drunk on the day and control the mood of the party. Discourage any sort of heated discussion among your guests.
  • Don’t ignore your pet during the hectic day. If you have a cat, then, don’t let her roam unsupervised. They might end up destroying your Christmas tree. Keep them in a separate place and provide enough food for them. Distractions like cat toys will keep them busy while you are attending the guest.
  • Make separate arrangements for kids and adults. Mixing them up might create a commotion. Plan different activities and games for them. Tell the kids about your pet and make sure that they stay away from the felines or dogs.
  • Keep a check on the food and beverages that is being served. Don’t leave everything on the waiters and organizers.

This is the season of joy and fun. Add to the festive mood by taking some basic precautions. Be a good host and throw a party that will be remembered by your friends and family for days to come.
